An Indian wedding symbolizes and embodies many rituals, traditions, festivals and celebrations, besides these, you can see the rituals habits that have been passed from generation to generation at the weddings. It is one of the oldest traditions of Indian culture. The match making in India, or weddings usually consist of several events held for several days, in general, different places.

Indian weddings are usually filled with music, dance, color, flowers and most importantly the food! The menu of various wedding events is carefully prepared by the families of the couple, after considering the cultural and religious needs and preferences of its guests.

The idea is to choose a caterer that could offer a variety of dishes which you want, within a given budget. The wedding banquet in most Indian weddings includes a wide range of appetizers, followed by drinks, main course and then dessert. Good wedding caterers in India usually offer different cuisines including different dishes. You also have different options on the menu before making a final selection.

One of those is the Gujarati cuisine prepared for a typical Gujarati matrimony. Gujarati cuisine usually consists of pure vegetarian food, which accommodates both religious obligations of both Hindu and Jain. A typical Gujarati food usually does not include ingredients such as garlic or onions, which is an indispensible part of the other Indian cuisines.
The Gujarati caterers usually serve the authentic Gujarati food in traditional stainless steel thalis, and the curries and other food items are served in small steel bowls that would definitely enhance the appetite. Some of the dishes served at the Gujarati matrimonial are khakhara, fafda, dhokla, khaman, papdi, various types of chats, dal bati, etc.
Other states have also their typical cuisines that are prepared at the time of weddings, which truly reflect the culture of a state.
